Car registrations can save lives
22nd October 2007

We're all well aware of how a personalised car registration can give an immense amount of pleasure to many people, but now they're saving lives.
Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio have launched a range of limited edition car registration plates designed to raise funds for the charity.
Ohio has the fourth highest breast cancer mortality rate in the United States, but a group of survivors have developed a program to help reduce mortality and increase the survival rate of breast cancer in the state.
The special car registrations raised $50,000 last year and are well on track to beat that record in 2007. The new car registrations cost a mere $35 more than a regular license plate, but $25 goes directly to the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio, and not the state of Ohio.
Residents of Ohio can order their limited edition plates at OPlates.com.
