Philippine Number Plates
Good afternoon,
I have recently been updating the world number plates section on Numberplates.com and, as I have family members in quite a few countries, I thought I would get them to take some original pictures of current issue licence plates from their country. As I am Filipino I thought I would start there. Thanks Uncle Glenn!
To the left is a number plate form an older vehicle, issued circa 2000. These plates require a yearly re-registration and issuance of new stickers for both the front and back plates, and the widscreen.
The number plate to the right is a current plate which requires registration every 3 years. The plate features an image of the Rizal Memorial, Luneta Park. The monument is a tribute to national hero José Rizal, who was executed for his efforts towards Philippine independence, a martyr of the Philippine Revolution. Along the bottom reads "Matatag na Republika", meaning "Strong Republic".I will leave it as that for today, but I am hoping to acquire pictures of plates from afar over the coming days.
Have a good day.
