S1 Goes Under The Hammer Today!

It's Friday and the sun is partially out. Joy.

Today could see another record number plate sale as historic Scottish "S 1" goes under the hammer at Bonhams' Goodwood Revival Sale. Bonhams expect the sought after "number 1" plate to fetch a staggering £250,000 when it is sold at auction later on this afternoon.

I'm not quite sure if it will match the astronomical £440,625 paid earlier this year for "F 1", but I'm sure it will receive a huge amount of interest. Hopefully it will be up there with the likes of "F 1" and "M 1" selling for £331,500 in 2006.

I'll keep my ears open and let you know how it goes.
