Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 2nd of December 1999. The auction was held at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh.
Amongst the high value DVLA number plates to sell at this auction were T1 REE (£10,200), F550 FER (£11,000), C4 LUM (£12,000) and 1 BUG (£13,000). TI TAN also raised a titanic £14,800.
Two similar private number plates, 51 MMS and S1 MMS sold for £11,200 and £15,600 respectively. The similar S11 MON went for £17,200.
However, the two highest valued private number plates at this auction were V1 PER (£21,100) and 1 ASH (£25,000).
