Number Plate Auction - June 1990

Cover for the brochure of the number plates auction dated the 4th of June 1990. The auction was held at Bonhams in Knightsbridge, London.
The very first lot, OOO 2K, valued at £2,000-£3,000 went for a staggering £15,000, but subsequent lots did little to inspire, with most not even coming close to hitting their target price.
The two most lucrative lots were T 2 (£28,000) and GER 1 (£29,000). One number plate, LL 89, came complete on a 1982 model Jaguar XJ6, but only sold for a paltry £5,800.
