Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 6th of September 2006. This auction was held at the Dormy House Hotel, in Worcestershire.

The auction got off to a very bright start, with many early lots smashing their guide prices. 7 AAK, with a guide price of £2,000, sold for £11,000. Meanwhile, 1 AAH, with a guide price of £3,200, went for £13,000.

Other plates to realise high prices at the auction were 841 NS (£13,400 - guide price £2,100), 71 H (£13,800 - guide price £3,000), and 1 PWM (£15,800 - guide price £3,100). The star of the show, however, was 1 CEO. With a guide price of £3,200, it smashed this estimation with a final sale price of a whopping £36,000.
