Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 7th of June 2001. The auction was held at the Ascot Pavilion at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
SAL 33M made four times its £2,500 estimate, finally selling for £10,000 whilst 999 OO did almost as well, selling at £10,500 with a reserve of £3,000.
51 M was valued at £3,200 and sold for £12,500, and AHM 4D sold for £18,000 (reserve £2,200). K4 THY was given a reserve price of £3,000 and raised a final total of £19,500. AVN 15H was given a reserve of £1,500 but smashed this when it sold for £30,000.
However, the highest price realised at this auction was £30,500 for 1 SV, which was given a reserve price of just £4,500.
