Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 7th of June 1997. The auction was held at the Ascot Pavilion at Ascot Racecourse.
R1 KKY sold for £10,200 (reserve £4,400), and SSJ 1 (reserve £4,300) and TCC 1 (reserve £4,800) both sold for £10,500. Meanwhile, ELV 11S sold for £11,400 (reserve £3,900) and 1 SGL went for £11,600 (reserve £4,300).
1 NDB went under the hammer at £12,100 (reserve £4,900), R1 DER sold at £13,500 (reserve £5,100), and 1 USA went for £13,900 (reserve £5,500).
However, the most valuable plate at this auction was RAP 1D which sold for a whopping £22,000 (reserve £5,600).
