Cover for the brochure of the number plates auction dated the 9th of May 1990. The auction was held at Chelsea Harbour in London, and ran for two days.

The auction got off to a relatively strong start, with most lots hitting their target price, and some early lots even exceeding this. 328 FER, with a target price of £2,500-£4,000 went under the hammer for £9,000, and 280 SE (guide price £2,500-£4,000) sold for £11,500.

COL 1E, with a guide price of £2,000-£4,500, went for £10,000, whilst F1 SHY sold for £14,500 - obliterating its target price of £2,750-£4,500.

SON 1A sold for £22,000, whilst JAN 1E and JAK 1E sold for £24,000 and £23,000 respectively. However, the star of the show was TEN 15, selling for £28,000 - much higher than the £8,000-£15,000 estimate.
