Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 12th of June 1995. The auction was held at The International Centre in Harrogate.
1 SK, which had a reserve price of £4,400, finally sold at £10,200, and PSB 1 fetched £10,400 (reserve price £3,800). ALS 1 went under the hammer at £12,200 (reserve price £4,200), 11 AN at £13,800 (reserve price £3,500), and N1 SHA fetched £19,000 (reserve price £3,000).
N1 RAJ and MSS 1 achieved £20,000 each, with respective reserves of £3,000 and £3,400. M1 DAS, which also had a reserve of £3,400, realised £20,500 at auction.
However, the most expensive plate to sell at this auction was F1 MAC, which went under the hammer at £21,000 - way above its £2,900 estimate.
