Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 16th of July 1990. The auction was held at The Guild Hall in Preston.
Amongst the most expensive plates to sell at this auction were 1 BCS and 111 JB (£10,000 each), 1 NCH (£11,000), 111 SA (£12,500), 10 AB (£13,500), F40 FER (£16,500) and SAM 1E (£18,500).
ROH 1T sold for £21,000, KAR 1A fetched £22,000, and JAN 1T realised £23,500. However, the most expensive number plates to sell at this auction were DEN 1S (£27,000), LYD 1A (£28,000) and FAX 1T (£30,000).
