Cover for the brochure of the DVLA number plates auction dated the 22nd of February 2006. The auction was held at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire.
The auction had a lot of three-letter number-ones of interest, with 1 EWG, 1 FHC, and 1 FGL all having reserve prices of £3,100. 1 FSH, 1 HCP, 1 LWP, 1 PVN, 1 RTY, 1 VCH and VGM 1 also attracted a lot of interest with their starting reserves of £3,200.
With slightly higher reserve prices of £3,300 were 1 GPV, 1 GSN, 1 HDN, 1 JJL, 1 RNP and 1 WFR. More 'number one' plates to be set with high reserve prices were 1 GJD, 1 TJN, 1 WCS, 1 WFT, 1 WTL, YEG 1, and the hallucinogenic 1 LSD - all set at £3,400.
However, the highest reserve price at the auction was for 1 LAY - £3,500.
