Private number plates

DJ Pied Piper celebrated the success of the Ayia Napa hit 'Do You Really Like It (I'm Lovin' It, Lovin' It, Lovin' It)' by purchasing a special number plate for his Porsche Carrera.

"A friend of mine, who name is Creed, owns C7 EED , which is great! He said to me that my car really needs a private plate. I wanted something more subtle though" said the Piper. He considered 2 DEX (2 decks) which he found in a Regtransfers brochure and the more he thought about it the more perfect it seemed. Imagine the disappointment when he called in, only to find that it had been sold.

PP started to look at other ideas. He didn't want a 'DJ' plate so he finally settled on 15 EN, which is a very personal choice because it's meaning is known only to his family and close friends. The DJ came up with his name many years ago whilst having three hours to wait before a performance. The Pied Piper, after Robert Browning's famous poem about the mythical, mesmerised rats of Hamelin, was perfect - given the contagious nature of the music.

Pied Piper and The Master of Ceremonies, who recently received three MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) nominations, release a new single on 10 December 2001. They will be shooting the video for 'We Are Here' next week and an album, as yet untitled, is scheduled for early 2002 . So far they have won not only the UK Garage Awards 'Best Club Anthem' but also 'Best Club Track' in a poll organised by Smash Hits magazine. Forthcoming highlights are likely to be the Smash Hits Awards ceremony followed shortly by a nationwide tour.
