Number plates in Barbados come in a variety of styles. Barbadian number plates begin with either one or two letters denoting
the parish of registration. Vehicle owners may use
white on black number plates (both on the front and
rear of the car) or black on white number plates at
the front, and black on yellow at the rear. The state
does not issue number plates in Barbados - these must
be provided by the vehicle's owner.
Some special registration numbers are issued in Barbados, including
B for buses, CD for consular and diplomatic vehicles,
H for hired rental vehicles, MP for military and police
vehicles, Z for taxis, ZR for private or contract buses
or minivans, and M for motor dealers.
