Danish number plates have been issued in a whole host
of shapes and sizes, beginning with the 1930s-1950s
issue plate. Danish number plates consist of two letters and five digits. The number
plate bears no indicator of the issuing region, and
does not contain an EU stripe. However, this is planned
to be introduced in 2008.
Private vehicles consist of black text on a white background, commercial
vehicles have black text on a yellow background, and
diplomatic vehicles use white text on a blue background.
Historical vehicles display number plates consisting
of white text on a black background, and airport vehicles
use white text on a red background on their number
plates.
