The current series of car registrations in Fiji came into effect in 1976. They are on white number plates with black lettering and the country emblem on the left hand side of the plate. The format of the registration is LL – NNN, with L standing for a letter and N standing for a digit. The previous series of number plates were black with white lettering. The format of the registration in the previous series was same as the current series.
