Located in the middle of Asia, Kyrgyzstan is surrounded by China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Car registrations in Kyrgyzstan didn’t change that much once it broke off from the former USSR. The shape of the number plates remained the same and they still had black lettering and a black border on a white plate. However the current series also had the Kyrgyzstan flag on the left hand side of the plate. Also any Russian characters have been replaced with English ones. The format of the vehicle registration is L-DDDD-L, where an ‘L’ represents a letter and ‘D’ represents a digit.
