Located in western Africa, Nigeria is surrounded by Benin, Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
The current car registrations series in Nigeria display the country flag on the top left hand side and the region the vehicle was registered in at the top of the number plate. At the bottom of the number plate, it says ‘Federal Republic Of Nigeria”. The plates themselves are white with blue lettering. The older series of number plates were black with silver writing and a silver border. In 1992 Nigeria converted over to the new system of car registrations.
