well as a unique numbering scheme on their car registrations.
Number plates tend to include a regional identifier as well as a sequential
series of numbers and letters, but the exact format
varies between provinces. Personalised number plates
in South Africa can cost as much as R10,000 (£685)
for a registration such as 1 WP, although the standard
cost for a set of personal number plates is between
R200 (£13.70) and R600 (£41) depending on the issuing
province.
